Amy Hope is a senior in-house counsel and intellectual property specialist with deep expertise in global intellectual asset strategy, governance, and multinational IP portfolio management. At BlueScope, she leads the global IP function across all businesses within the multinational manufacturing group, advising on all IP-related litigation, transactions, and risk issues. She manages the BlueScope extensive IP portfolios, drives commercial outcomes from R&D-generated assets, and builds strong intellectual asset governance frameworks to maximise the value that can be derived from her colleagues’ hard work, creativity and bright ideas. Amy began her career in private practice working in top-tier IP teams across both contentious and commercial matters. She previously led the IP and customer legal function at Bupa, supporting a wide range of IP, consumer and regulatory matters across ANZ. She holds a bachelor of laws and biomedical science (Monash University), a post-graduate diploma of business administration (Melbourne Business School), and a master of laws (University of Melbourne) focusing on intellectual property and is passionate about building IP awareness and capability within complex multinational organisations.
