With more than a decade's experience practising predominantly in trade mark law, she is frequently entrusted to undertake large scale search and clearance projects and has successfully prosecuted countless trade mark applications with complex issues through to registration. She also has significant experience in opposition proceedings, non use actions and the enforcement of trade mark and related rights. Madeleine has expertise in managing the global trade mark portfolios of businesses of all sizes, and acts for some of the world’s most well known brands. Her clients operate in a diverse range of industries including fashion, technology, health, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, agriculture, food and beverage, consumer goods, and home improvement. Madeleine provides timely, strategic and commercially relevant advice, and has been recognised as a “Rising Star” by numerous publications including Managing IP, Expert Guides, IFLR and Doyle’s Guide. Additionally, Madeleine has published widely in numerous publications including the Australian Intellectual Property Journal, the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and Practice, the Intellectual Property Law Bulletin, the Internet Law Bulletin and the World Trademark Review.
