Maiko Sentina is managing counsel - trademarks, domains and brand protection at Canva, where she leads the protection of one of Australia's most valuable and globally recognised technology brands. Over the past five years, she has grown Canva's trademark, domain name and brand protection function, overseeing trademark and domain portfolio management, brand strategy, naming, enforcement and online brand protection to support the company's rapid international expansion. Prior to Canva, Maiko worked in private practice and in-house in media and entertainment. She has been recognised as a World Trademark Review (WTR) Global Leader and included in the WTR 300: The World's Leading Corporate Trademark Professionals in 2025 and 2026. Outside the law, Maiko is also a practising visual artist whose work has been exhibited across Australia.
