Dr Youngki Ha is the vice president of IP at Samsung SDI, where he oversees global patent prosecutions, litigations, and licensing negotiations for battery and electronic materials. Prior to joining Samsung SDI in 2020, he served as a patent attorney for top-tier law firms, managing diverse cross-border intellectual property disputes and consulting projects for multinational enterprises. Dr Ha began his career as a senior researcher at Samsung Electronics, where he developed next-generation memory. He is currently a director of the Korea Intellectual Property Association. He earned a PhD in physics from Kaist and an LLM. from Temple University. Dr Ha is admitted to the Illinois State Bar and is a registered Korean patent attorney, holding multiple international patents and publishing numerous academic papers.
