Mr Yan Rui serves as the counsellor of WIPO Office in China and performs duties in WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Shanghai Service since 2026. Before joining WIPO, Mr Yan worked in Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration of Shanghai Municipal People's Government for more than 20 years, with rich experience in international IP cooperation, IP public service coordination and IP business environment optimization. Mr Yan was awarded as ‘Advanced Individual of the Whole China Intellectual Property Working System’ by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security with China National Intellectual Property Administration in 2021. Mr Yan has also been the Expert Member of ‌Shanghai Municipal Commission of Local Standards on Social Management and Public Service since 2024. Mr Yan obtained master of laws at Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property Tongji University, China.
