Collette Rawnsley is the vice president, IP policy and advocacy at Nokia Technology Standards. She has been a pivotal figure in the global SEP licensing ecosystem for many years. She has played a defining role in advancing balanced FRAND licensing practices and shaping international IP policy. Her work spans landmark SEP litigation and key regulatory initiatives. Through consistent and effective engagement with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders worldwide she has helped foster a fair, robust, and innovation‑driven intellectual property framework, reflecting Nokia’s commitment to open standardisation and technological progress. In addition, Collette has extensive experience of providing strategic advice and guidance concerning IP licensing in the technology and media sectors, standard essential patents, FRAND disputes, and patent pools. Before joining Nokia in 2021, Collette spent 15 years as a lawyer and advocate in London and Brussels and was involved in some of the leading cases concerning the intersection of IP and competition law. Previously, Collette was senior référendaire at the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal.
