Dr Lin Yang joined Shanghai Langbo as chief executive officer since 2016. He is responsible for the company's research strategy and SEP monetisation. He successfully led a number of SEP transactions deals, research collaborations and licensing negotiations with top product companies and NPEs worldwide. He is also in charge of financing, marketing and litigation activities. Shanghai Langbo has become recognised as top 20 declared SEP owner in 5G and currently the only 3GPP-focused independent research institute in China. Dr Yang graduated from the University of Manchester, UK. He has 11 years of experience in wireless communication technology research and standardization before joining Shanghai Langbo. He was a research scientist in Bell Labs and lead of research projects in Robert Bosch research center. He won the National Outstanding Overseas Scholar Award in 2008, published 29 articles in top international journals, and has 168 invention patents.
