Carl Bowers is a Senior Director and leads the IP function at Lyft. He manages a spectacular team of legal professionals focused on counselling and supporting all things IP related at Lyft including: patents, artificial intelligence, trademarks, brand protection, trade secrets, open source, licensing, and tech transactions. Mr Bowers has been at Lyft for nearly eight years where his work has included building out Lyft's original rideshare patent portfolio, supporting Lyft's autonomous division, Level 5, through its full lifecycle from origin to divestiture, and the development of Lyft’s AI Governance Program. Before joining Lyft, Mr Bowers practiced patent law at two multinational law firms in San Francisco.
