Tom Wolfe is the director of legal, IP and product at Kodiak Robotics, currently developing autonomous driving technology for the trucking industry. Prior to his current position, Mr Wolfe spent the majority of his career in house for medical device companies Medtronic and Smith and Nephew. His in house experience has focused on patent portfolio development, US and international patent litigation, and collaborative IP development agreement drafting, negotiation and compliance. In addition to oversight in numerous US cases in district and court and inter partes procedures at the PTO, Tom has investigated medical device patent infringement in China and defended patent infringement claims in German courts. He has additionally worked with federal monitors examining royalty structures and payments for doctors in compliance with a deferred prosecution agreement. From early stage start ups to large multinationals, his work has focused on protecting the products in the marketplace.
