Martin Sultana is director, head of IP for Schaeffler’s Americas region, where he leads IP strategy supporting innovation across the automotive and industrial sectors. He oversees patent portfolio development, licensing, litigation, and brand protection, and regularly advises senior leadership on complex IP and technology risk issues. Martin brings a rare combination of legal and engineering experience, having previously represented leading OEMs and suppliers as outside counsel and earlier spending seven years as an engineer at Ford Motor Company in the Electronics division. Martin holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy and graduate and undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University.
