Speaker Bio
Paul Zeineddin is the co-chair of Intellectual Property Litigation Practice. Over the past three decades, Paul has served as lead counsel in various patent litigations before US district courts and the International Trade Commission (ITC) investigations. His clients include major international corporations on whose behalf he has litigated large international disputes involving the world’s leading standard-essential-patent (SEP) holders in various wireless communications technologies. Paul informs his SEP litigation and licensing practice through his prior experience as lead in-house counsel negotiating major bilateral and pool SEP licenses at one of the world’s major wireless companies, and through his work advocating fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND) licensing practices before global competition regulators and standard-setting organizations. Notably, Paul was an instrumental participant in various meetings debating the scope of FRAND commitments from 2005 until 2016 in the ETSI and the United Nations’ ITU, which discussions helped influence current international law on the matter.
