Angela Caligiuri is a senior counsel, Intellectual Property for General Motors in Detroit, Michigan. She focuses on trademarks, design patents, brand protection and licensing, and leads GM’s global trademark and design patent portfolios across North America, Europe, Asia, and other key international markets. Angela has directed major enforcement programs against infringing and counterfeit automotive parts and served as the in house lead on a landmark Federal Circuit design patent case and related PTAB, district court, and ITC proceedings. She is known for developing streamlined IP processes that reduce cost, increase capacity and drive meaningful brand infringement recoveries. With experience in private practice, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and in house roles, she focuses on aligning IP strategy with business objectives and bridging the gap between legal risk management and commercial priorities.
