Jonas McDavit is a partner at Spencer West. He has extensive experience representing clients in high-stakes patent infringement litigation. He handles disputes involving diverse areas of technology, including computer hardware and software, semiconductors, wireless communication, mobile devices, image sensors, gaming, pharmaceuticals, photo-imaging equipment, and consumer products. He has successfully represented both patent owners and accused infringers in litigation and licensing.
Mr McDavit has substantial experience litigating cases in jurisdictions throughout the country, including before the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, the International Trade Commission, and before several United States District Courts such as the Eastern District of Texas, the Western District of Texas, the District of Delaware, the District of Massachusetts, the District of Nevada, the District for the District of Columbia, and the Northern District of California.
Prior to joining Spencer West, Mr McDavit was a Partner at Desmarais LLP. Mr McDavit also practiced in the Intellectual Property group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He is a former U.S. Navy submariner, who achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He is a graduate of Georgetown Law and the University of Notre Dame.
