Thomas Choi is vice president of licensing at Ericsson, where he oversees global IP transactions and standard essential patent (SEP) licensing programs. Bringing over two decades of cross-functional expertise in law, engineering, and commercial strategy, Thomas specialises in structuring complex global patent transactions and cross-licensing agreements. Prior to Ericsson, he held senior IP licensing and technical roles at Nortel, Wi-LAN, and Intellectual Ventures. Thomas holds a J.D. from Santa Clara University, an M.A.Sc. in electrical engineering from Carleton University, and a B.A.Sc. in computer engineering from the University of Waterloo. He is admitted to the California Bar and the U.S. Patent Bar.
