Willem Weenink is chief IP counsel of ASML Netherlands BV and head of the IP department. Prior to joining ASML, Willem worked in the intellectual property group of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLC, and as a researcher at the University of California Santa Barbara. Willem holds a JD from Georgetown University, a PhD in materials engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (“ETH Zurich”), a MSc in chemical engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology and is a certified European Patent Attorney.
