Amitabh Dixit is a vice president, licensing at Ericsson. With deep technical and business expertise in video streaming and Wi-Fi technologies, Amitabh is responsible for not only advancing and closing licensing deals but also collaborating closely with IP strategy and research and development teams to help shape long-term strategy. Amitabh joined Ericsson in May 2026 from Nokia, where he had a distinguished career spanning more than two decades, during which he worked on every step of the cycle of innovation - from invention creation to drafting and prosecuting patent applications, acquisitions, divestitures, licensing, and litigation. Amitabh holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, and B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, India. He is a European Patent Attorney, a U.S. Patent Agent, an Indian Patent Agent, and inventor on several patents.
