Ana Amélia Araripe Montenegro is Senior Intellectual Property Manager for Emerging Markets at Novo Nordisk, where she leads intellectual property and exclusivity strategies across the region, supporting business growth, product lifecycle management, enforcement, advocacy, and business initiatives.
An IP attorney with nearly 20 years of experience, Ana has advised multinational companies in the pharmaceutical, chemicals, technology, and consumer sectors on patents, trademarks, technology licensing, innovation, M&A transactions, and commercialization of IP assets. Prior to Novo Nordisk, she held global leadership roles at Braskem, in Brazil and in the Netherlands supporting IP related-projects, technology licensing and strategic joint ventures across Europe and Asia.
Ana serves on the WIPO Mediators Panel for trademark disputes and on the Executive Board of LES Brazil. She previously chaired the IP Commission of ICC Brazil and has been recognized by World Trademark Review and The Legal 500 as a leading IP practitioner. She holds an LL.B. from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
