Renata Carriel is a senior legal executive with nearly 20 years of experience across corporate law, strategic projects, technology and intellectual property. She is currently Legal Director at Braskem, where she leads the global Intellectual Property function and oversees legal support for Engineering and Information Technology. Ms Carriel advises senior leadership and leads complex negotiations and strategic matters involving technology development, licensing, innovation, major industrial projects, data privacy and cyber security. Previously, she was Head of Legal at Oxygea, where she established the legal function and governance framework from inception and advised on corporate, contractual, compliance, governance and cross-border matters. Ms Carriel is also Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Commission at ICC Brasil. She holds an MBA and an LLM from Insper and a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). Her work combines broad legal advice, strong negotiation capabilities and business insight to support strategic decision-making and the effective management of legal risk.
