Matheus Gil do Amaral is global IP transactions lead at Accenture, where he leads the global legal practice responsible for IP transactions, intellectual property aspects of ventures and acquisitions, and open source software. Mr Amaral advises senior legal and business leaders on complex IP ownership, licensing, commercialisation and risk-allocation matters, including transactions involving software, products, generative AI and other emerging technologies. He has more than 18 years of experience advising multinational organisations on intellectual property, technology, innovation and strategic transactions. Before joining Accenture, Mr Amaral held senior in-house IP roles at Braskem and BASF and practised at leading Brazilian intellectual property law firms. He has been recognised three times in the IAM Strategy 300: The World’s Leading IP Strategists and previously served as co-chair of the International Chamber of Commerce Intellectual Property Committee.
