Alex Morgan is a partner in the London office of Paul Hastings. Alex focuses his practice on IP litigation and strategy and complex disputes. He advises clients on high-value cross-border patent litigation, as well as IP licensing and commercial contract disputes across a wide range of industries including telecommunications, software, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and renewable energy. Alex has deep experience in matters relating to high technology, including AI systems, and has managed global IP enforcement programs for several leading international corporates. Alex has been recognised as an IAM Strategy 300 World Leader, a Leader in Intellectual Property, and Highly Recommended for Patents by WIPR, a Rising Star by Managing IP and a Key Lawyer in The Legal 500 UK. Alex’s complex cross-border disputes experience includes acting and advising on patent infringement and validity actions, including in relation to Standard Essential Patents (SEPs), copyright infringement, confidential information and trade mark disputes. Alex is a UPC Representative and has acted in proceedings before the English High Court, Court of Appeal, Copyright Tribunal, European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and in LCIA and ICC arbitration.
